Youth Seminar

Young people are the future of our society, and it is crucial that they become self-reliant and focused on their goals to achieve success in life. However, there are many distractions that can prevent them from reaching their full potential. In this seminar, we discussed how young people can be self-reliant and some of the things that distract them from being focused on their goals. Being self-reliant means having the ability to take care of oneself and make decisions independently. It is important for young people to develop this skill early in life because it will help them become more confident and successful in their future endeavors. One way to become self-reliant is to develop a strong work ethic. This means setting goals and working hard to achieve them, even when it is difficult or requires sacrifice. Young people can also become self-reliant by learning important life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and managing finances. Unfortunately, there are many distractions that c

A mothers Love

My father passed away when I was in primary four, and my mother passed away while I was writing my Weac. After the passing of my father, things become very difficult for my sister and I because our mother was uneducated and the job she obtained did not pay her enough to provide for us.  Even though our mother did her best, it was still difficult for the eight of us to exist on our own as a widowed family. We had to confront life alone and without assistance, and those who did want to help had requirements attached, so I and my friends and I observed how individuals who had been friendly to us when our parents were alive turned into really cruel people. So, my siblings and I battled to complete school on our own.  Because of what I experienced as a girl child, I also battled an inferiority mentality.  The idea originated from my upbringing and personal experiences.  Therefore, it has been my responsibility to speak up for those who have no voice and to make sure that I assist and enco

Young Adults and Teens

Dekoa foundation become a lifeline for many young people who are struggling with a lack of motivation and resources to achieve their dreams. We are dedicated to helping young adults and teenagers overcome the challenges they face and inspire them to reach their full potential. One of the ways Dekoa Foundation helps motivate young people is by providing mentorship and guidance. They connect young people with mentors who have successfully navigated their way through life and are willing to share their experiences and knowledge. These mentors serve as role models and provide the young people with guidance and support, helping them to identify and pursue their passions and goals. Dekoa Foundation also provides educational opportunities and resources to young people. We try to offer scholarships, vocational training, and other educational opportunities that help young people acquire the skills they need to succeed in their chosen fields. Preparing Young Ladies for the Future

Image
Young ladies face numerous challenges as they navigate adolescence and young adulthood. These challenges can include peer pressure, societal expectations, and a lack of access to education and resources. To help young ladies stay out of trouble and empower them to reach their full potential, it's essential to provide them with the support, guidance, and resources they need. One of the most effective ways to help young ladies stay out of trouble is to provide them with positive role models and mentors. Our mentors try to provide guidance, support, and encouragement, helping young ladies build confidence and self-esteem. We as mentors also help young ladies develop important life skills, such as decision-making, communication, and problem-solving. Another  way Dekoa Foundation tries to empower young ladies is to provide them with access to education and resources. We try to engage them in programs that provide job training, financial literacy education, and access to healthcare

OutReach: Touching lives one at a time

Widows and vulnerable women face numerous challenges, including economic hardship, social isolation, and lack of access to basic necessities. These women are often overlooked and underserved, making it essential for us to reach out to them through our outreach program. Dekoa Foundation’s outreach programs take many forms, including community-based initiatives, charity organizations, and fellowships. These programs provide essential services and support to widows and vulnerable women, including financial assistance, job training, education, and healthcare. One of the key benefits of our outreach programs is that they help empower women and improve their overall well-being. By providing women with the tools and resources they need to succeed, they can break the cycle of poverty and create a better future for themselves and their families. Our outreach programs can also help combat social isolation, which is a significant challenge for many widows and vulnerable women. By creating a se

Women Empowerment

Nigeria is home to a diverse population of women who face various forms of disadvantage and marginalization. These include widows, single mothers, women with disabilities, women from rural and remote areas, and women affected by conflict. The challenges faced by these women are often compounded by poverty, lack of education, and limited access to resources and opportunities. Widows in Nigeria often face significant economic and social hardships. They may be denied their inheritance rights or face pressure to remarry within their late husband's family. Single mothers, who often lack the support of a partner, may also struggle to provide for their families and access basic services such as healthcare and education. Women with disabilities in Nigeria face significant barriers to education, employment, and healthcare. They may be stigmatized and face discrimination, making it challenging to fully participate in society. Women from rural and remote areas often lack access to basic
